MORPHE MONTHLY BRUSH CLUB – APRIL 2016

img_9623

Hey guys! It’s that time again!

Time for the unbagging of the Morphe Monthly Brush Club!

If you haven’t read one of these posts before, this is a monthly subscription service, much like an Ipsy or Boxycharm, except instead of getting some sample size cosmetics from brands you may or may not have heard of before, you’re getting at least $30 worth of full size brushes each and every month!
And they’re Morphe brushes, so you know they’re amazing!!
This service is $19.99 a month with free shipping to the US and Canada, and you can sign up yourself at www.liveglam.com – and if you pay a whole year up front, they send you a FREE Morphe 35O Palette – which if you been around on YouTube or the blogosphere or the makeup world in general, you know just how coveted an item that palette is!

So let’s jump in and see what they sent out this month!

MORPHE M510 – PRO ROUND BLENDER ($7.99)

This goat hair brush is actually a MannyMUA fave for highlighting – I love my M501 for highlighting, but I’m always open to trying something new! I have a few other goat hair brushes from Morphe, and they deposit and blend product like a dream! I can’t wait to try this one out, too!

MORPHE M504 – LARGE POINTED BLENDER ($6.99)

I love their pointed blender brushes. I have hooded eyes, so I love the precision I get from the point of the bristles, and the ease of blending that the fluffiness provides. This one is a little bigger than most of my other blending brushes, but I think it will work well when used to apply a transition color, or blending colors together.

MORPHE M505 – TAPERED BLENDER ($5.99)

The next in line from the M504 is the M505, which is a tapered blender; personally, I’m not sure that I see a huge difference between pointed and tapered, however, who am I to turn down either style blending brush? The only thing I hate more than harsh lines, is math. I hate math. But I hate harsh lines more.

MORPHE M330 – BLENDING CREASE ($5.99)

I actually have one of these already, that I bought from HauteLook, but I love having doubles of my favorite brushes! I use this one primarily to add some definition to the crease when I’m layering colors; for example, if I apply a light transition shade, then a slightly darker neutral, then an even darker shade on top of that, I like to blend them all together with this brush. The tapered end means precise application, but it’s fluffy enough to blend the colors together without getting them all over my eyes and making me look like a panda.

MORPHE M508 – SMUDGER ($3.99)

I usually use the M432 brush (a flat definer brush) to apply colors to my lower lash line, but on days where I’m in a rush and don’t have time to search for multiple brushes, I think this one will do the job nicely, with everything from shadows to that lived-in “I slept in my eyeliner” look from the 90’s that’s coming back. I can’t wait to play around with it!

MORPHE MONTHLY BRUSH CLUB – MARCH 2016

So let’s jump in and see what they sent out this month!

MORPHE M527 – DELUXE POINTED POWDER ($15.99)

Screen Shot 2016-03-04 at 9.02.42 AMThis is a natural bristle, goat hair brush, that’s sort of tapered, and big and fluffy. This is like, the perfect brush for applying bronzer with! Something about the goat hair brushes – like the M433 and the M441 which are blending brushes for the eyes – they just distribute the perfect amount of product so as to not look ‘overdone’. I can’t wait to try this!

MORPHE M501 – PRO POINTED BLENDER ($7.99)

img_0272You guys know by now that this is my ride or die brush when it comes to highlighting. And now I have another one!! I’m so excited!

MORPHE M438 – POINTED CONTOUR ($9.99)

IMG_9194Another favorite of mine, and another one that I already own, but honestly, I don’t mind – I absolutely love this brush for setting the under eye area and T-zone with a yellow powder , and a few weeks ago, I tried to actually contour with it (shocker, right? Considering it’s name and all!) and I actually really like it! So now I have one to set my concealer, and one to contour with! Without spot cleaning or accidentally bronzing my under eye!

Grand Total : $33.97

Ok, so two of the three brushes this month, I already owned. I don’t mind, because I love having multiples of favorite products! I have doubles of almost every Real Techniques brush, so I keep a set for myself and a separate set for freelance work! I mean, you can never have too many brushes!

Another thing I noticed, was that all three of these brushes are featured by Jaclyn Hill in her  ‘My Favorite Morphe Brushes‘ video from December 2015 – so you know they’re good!

MORPHE MONTLY BRUSH CLUB – FEBRUARY 2016

img_9623

Hey guys! I’m back today with another unbagging of the Morphe Monthly Brush Club!

This service is $19.99 a month with free shipping to the US and Canada, and you can sign up yourself at www.liveglam.com – and if you pay a whole year up front, they send you a FREE Morphe 35O Palette – which if you been around on YouTube or the blogosphere or the makeup world in general, you know just how coveted an item that palette is (mine should be here any day now, and you’ll get a full review and swatches so don’t you worry)!!

So let’s jump in and see what they sent out this month!

MORPHE M495 DUO DELUXE FAN (out of stock)

First up is this duo-fiber fan brush. You guys, this thing is massive – like, if you wanted to strobe in one pass, this is the brush you want. It’s got both synthetic and sable bristles, which means it won’t cake on a ton of product, and it’s insanely soft. I have tons of fan brushes, but I definitely see this one getting some use!

MORPHE M218 BLENDING FLUFF ($2.99)

This sable haired blending brush might be a little big for my eyes, as they’re hooded and I need to use smaller, more precise brushes. However, I’m sure I can find a use for it – maybe I can use it to contour my nose and eyes – because it’s fluffy it won’t pick up or distribute too much product. I can’t wait to try!

MORPHE M333 CHISEL SHADER (out of stock)

This densely packed, wide and slightly domed brush could be really useful for apply a light shadow all over the lid (a transition color) or even precise cream contouring! I’m excited to play around with it and figure out my favorite way to use it! Because as we know, there really are no specific rules when it comes to makeup brushes!

MORPHE M165 ANGLE LINER/BROW ($2.99)

Alas, another angled brush – I love these! This one seems a little too long and thick to use with liner, but I’ll definitely use it with powder products to fill in my brows (I’ve been back to doing that lately) or maybe even on the lower lash line – yay!

MORPHE M334 MINI ANGLED BUFFER ($5.99)

This is one of their newest brushes, and I’m most excited to use this for under eye concealer, because the angle can really get up in the inner corner of the eye – this would be another one great for cream contouring and highlighting – it almost reminds me of a little baby angled M439, which is my HG foundation brush, and probably one of Morphe’s best sellers! And because it’s synthetic, it’s perfect for any cream products, because the bristles won’t soak up and steal all of your product!

MORPHE M224 OVAL CAMOUFLAGE (out of stock)

This is a synthetic concealer brush, technically, and they will work well at applying cream based concealers for a full coverage finish. I’m thinking I’ll use this brush in one of two ways; either to color correct, or to pack shadows onto my lid. It’s a nice flat brush, and if you damped it with a little setting spray or even eye drops, it will take any shimmer shadow or pigment and make it POP!!

MORPHE M169 ROUND CREASE (out of stock)

This may be one of the ones I’m most excited about. I absolutely love small, tapered brushes, for their multi-functionality; you can blend out shadow on your lower lash line, you can use it to define and create a nice soft cut crease, you can use it in the outer V of the eye – like I said, because I have hooded eyes, I prefer smaller brushes for their precision. I have a few different ones, but every time I get one I get super excited – these and flat definer brushes, I just feel like you can never have enough of!

Alright guys, that’s this month’s brushes! I wish I was able to give you more pricing information, but when they’re out of stock, the website doesn’t show you the retail price. I’m not sure if they’re out of stock because they’re already popular brushes, or because they cleaned house to send them to their subscribers! I will tell you though, these brushes are amazing quality – amazing – and I’ve never ever gotten a bad brush, or one I didn’t like or couldn’t use! So if you’re looking for an inexpensive way to build your brush collection, be it for personal or professional use, this is a fantastic option! Not to mention, it saves you the cost of their shipping (which can be a little pricey, even for their brushes). Check them out at www.liveglam.com!

MORPHE MONTHLY BRUSH CLUB – JANUARY 2016

Hey guys! It’s time for the January unboxing – unbagging – whatever! – of the Morphe Montly Brush Club!!

Since signing up for this service, I haven’t been disappointed! Basically what it is, is a monthly subscription service like Ipsy or Birchbox or Glossy Box, where you pay a flat monthly fee (this one is $19.99 a month with free shipping to the US and Canada) and you receive almost double the valued amount of products! While most subscription services send either sample cards, deluxe samples, and maybe the occasional full size, with Morphe you know what you’re getting – at least $30+ worth of full size brushes each and every month, right to your mailbox!! The number of brushes received will vary month to month (December I got four brushes, this month I got eight brushes!) but they will always total at least $30 or more in value!

If you’d like to check out what came in the December package, click here. To see what came this month, just keep reading!

MORPHE M173 – MINI BUFFER ($4.99)

Technically this is an eyeshadow brush. It’s short, dense bristles claim to be perfect for blending shadows seamlessly. But there are no rules when it comes to makeup brushes! You can use them for whatever you like! I’ll be using this as a concealer brush, as it’s the perfect size for blending out concealer under the eye!

MORPHE M208 – CHISEL DELUXE FLUFF ($2.99)

This sable hair brush is short, semi flat but still a bit fluffy, with a wide base. I think this will be nice for contouring the nose! I’m excited to try it out, and I’ll let you know what I end up using it for!

MORPHE M167 – OVAL SHADOW (reg. $9.99 on sale for $5.99)

Another sable hair brush, this one is the perfect size, density, and shape to pack color onto the lid. Used wet or dry, this is great for pressed shadows and loose pigments alike! Oooh I’m excited!

MORPHE M176 – TAPERED BLENDER ($4.99)

This sable brush is meant to blend concealer under the eyes, though I don’t know that I’ve ever used anything that large to do it! I’ll have to try it out….

MORPHE M217 – BENT LINER ($2.99)

This is a synthetic brush for use with gel and cream liners, and the bent tip is supposed to make application super easy, providing a perfect angle for flawless liner – I’ve never used a bent liner brush like this, so I’ll be sure to let you know how it works out!

MORPHE M215 – BROW ($1.99)

You can never have too many brow brushes! Though I don’t think I have one this small! This synthetic brush would work great with a cream, gel, or pomade type medium for precise, super sculpted brows!

MORPHE M209 – CHISEL POINTED FLUFF ($2.99)

A super soft sable hair brush that would be perfect for a light application of your favorite transition color on the lids – medium density, and would be great for blending out harsh lines as well!

MORPHE M200 – DELUXE CREASE ($4.99)

This brush is one that I already have in my collection, and I love it! It’s a sable hair brush that blends the crease color beautifully! I’m so glad I have a backup now! (That happened last month too!)

Alright guys, the total of this months brushes came to $35.92! But the monthly price is only $19.99 – sounds like a bargain to me! I can’t wait to try these out!!
